Abstract

Additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing) is a technology that provides the opportunity for engineers to include their creativity and innovative thinking, due to the fact that this type of technology manages to produce complex geometries, unlike traditional manufacturing. The paper presents the course of implementation and the results of the project "Application of 3D modeling and design for prototypes in market communication", started in 2022. The purpose of the research is the creation of "digital" prototypes using 3D modeling that will be used in advertising, in the association of the scientific research community with the economy. The use of additive manufacturing in advertising makes it possible to offer the consumer a tangible object as the model displaying product characteristics. As the final result of the project, in the FabLab laboratory of the Faculty of Production and Management Trebinje, prototypes of conceptual solutions of microphones (radio symbol) and prototypes of textbooks with a graduation cap (higher education symbols) were created, which were designed using the Solidworks software tool.
